Hi, I’m Mariko. I am a plant-based health nut with a passion for cooking. My creations are mostly raw, and gluten free. With my job, husband, and our puppy Orion, I’m always pressed for time, so I try to make my recipes simple and easy to make! All recipes I post are taste tested and approved by my very picky husband, and sometimes Orion too. I have a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell, and I am a Level 3 graduate of Matthew Kenney Culinary School.
I am originally from Japan and work as a make-up artist in Hollywood on print, advertising, music videos, commercials, and motion pictures. I’m a long time vegetarian and went plant-based 5 years ago. I got into raw food in the last few years and fell in love with the color vibrancy, dynamic flavors and nutrient density of the food. I eat mostly raw during the day and cooked food in the evening. My mission is to show simple and easy recipes that will help your transition to introducing more raw foods into your diet:)
